Unless you are regularly driving off-road for surf, trucks aren't all that practical for surf IMO. Most truck beds are too short to even fit a board inside without it hanging over the edge. I kind of like being able to lock my boards and wetsuits inside my car and not worry about them, but that's just me
x a million worst mistake I ever made was trading my car for (a toyota truck ) thinking it would make my surfing easier. I dont know what I was thinking. This thing is a pain in the ass even going to the supermarket (have to go straight home after because cant leave stuff in my uncovered truck bed) parking it is a biitch anywhere in socal usually, cant get a good nap or sleep in the cab of a truck like you can in a car when your on the road. Higher roll over risk, really a two seater that middle seat is worthless, in my opionion worse on gas than any car I have ever owned. But and this is a big but these little fuggers hold their value like no other. I am an inch away from makin the jump back to a car. Was looking at subaru wagons (I dont care what it looks like they are safe and look to be the perfect fit for a traveling surfer) until then
