Yes it is def more refined than a FW SP . I am running the SA2 Large as per Dan Mann advice .
Board def has it's place . I'm very fit and a strong paddler and my CL catches waves as easy as the 3 mini Simmons I've had .
One other thing is def put a tail pad on as to really get the most performance you need your foot way back over the fins and a pad with a tail kick will def come in handy . I hadn't put one on yet but I am for next sesh As I think I can def push harder on turns with one on it .
Board really is easy to climb the foam / wash and I generally suck at that on my hybrid or HPSB
