How do you even get excited for the playoffs when over 50% of the teams in the league (and always 3 or 4 with losing records) make the playoffs? I see friends who are excited for the Lakers playoff games and I shake my head as to why, especially because they are a given to be in the first couple rounds every year.
And what's up with teams playing single game series all year and then moving all the way to best of 7? Baseball is best of 7 because they play 2-4 game series all year so it makes sense
The NFL and MLB have such superior playoff structures, the NBA and NHL are milking the postseason when it should be cut to half the rounds

Because the level of play jumps up dramatically when it becomes the playoffs. Each game is essential, it's just not "another game". "Win the series or your season is done" can add a little jump to your step.
Pun intended.
-------------------- "Your ego is not your amigo" ~Tony Alva
This year no teams with losing records made the playoffs.
Also, what Mo_Fo said. Every team brings their best in the playoffs. Who cares what the format of games in the regular season is? (Baseball only plays in the series format because they have such a huge number of regular season games and they've got to manage the travel budgets some way.) You don't get upsets from "hot teams" like you do in the NCAAs because they've got to win 4. That said, 8 seeds do overcome it from time to time (Grizzlies last year, Warriors in 2007 which was a classic series.)

Out of curiosity...what team in the NBA made the playoffs with a losing record?
I watch the NBA to root for the Lakers because my wife is a huge fan. It's fun. I think basketball is horrifically corrupt (even transparently so), but it's still fun.
Hockey is fun but only if the Blackhawks are winning.
Football is the best of the "big four".
Baseball is so absurdly retarded I have no idea where to begin. Used to love it, lost ALL INTEREST during the strike. People staring at each other for 4 hours is literally the most boring thing on the planet.

A quick google consult says that a team with a losing record has only made it into the playoffs twice in the NBA's history. Once in 1958, and again in 1981. A different team in 1981 came in with a winning record, but had a losing record when it was all said and done (they made it to the conference finals but lost).

has a every possession counts feel to it, much different than the reg season. i think in the '80's they did best of 5 for the first round but best of 7 insures the better team wins, it's good

best of 5 in the first round only ended in the mid 2000's. In my opinion, they should bring it back- with the number of injuries occurring, I think shortening that round would allow us to see playoff games with healthier, better teams, instead of everyone limping to the finals.

With only 5 games, Boston and OKC would be heading to the finals! I'm down with that.
Has anybody here been to a Miami Heat game before?
Are the fans always that quiet? I mean, it was nuts at times how the crowd was just sitting on their hands. Was it the anticipation of blowing it (again) or is it just a poor fan base?

b/c bball at it's best is an insane display of human athleticism, psychology and strategery confined to a relatively tiny arena.
Yep.
It's fun. It's entertainment. Compared to a lot of the crap that is on TV, it's a pretty good alternative. The best basketball fan is the one having the most fun?
-------------------- Only a fool trips over what’s behind them
I first photographed LeBron James in 2003, when he was a rookie in Cleveland. He was pretty raw as a teenager; he didn’t have any of the smoothed edges he has now. When I shot him six years later, in 2009, the difference was amazing. He walked in like a king that day, and he took over that room. And not only physically, although he was massive then. I’ve never seen an athlete look like that. He was muscular, charming, articulate, the prince of hoops. He couldn’t have been more of an ambassador for the game.
Times change, and sadly, LeBron became a villain to many after The Decision. I’ve seen a lot of entourages, but none like his. In July 2010 I got an assignment from Nike to shoot LeBron right after his TV special announcing his move to the Heat. We rented the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, where the Lakers and the Clippers used to play, and there were 53 people on my crew — including hair and makeup artists, production people, a stylist. I had $10,000 in Hollywood lighting. It was huge. When LeBron arrived, it was as if Nelson Mandela had come in. Six or seven blacked-out Escalades pulled up, a convoy. LeBron had bodyguards and his masseuse. His deejay was already there, blasting. This for a photo shoot that was going to last an hour, tops.
This is how crazy it was: I wasn’t even allowed to talk directly to LeBron. There was a liaison, someone from Amar’e Stoudemire’s family. I would say to him, “O.K., have LeBron drive right,” and then he’d turn to LeBron and say, “LeBron, go right.”
LeBron had guards in the portals on the mezzanine level, talking into their hands. Really, what was going to happen? And then at the end of the shoot they all got in the Escalades. My God, I’ve been around Michael Jordan, but with him nothing even came close to this. Unimaginable.

you just can't blame media portrayals that such a vast % of fans wanting to see him lose.
seems he is an extreme version of a man-child. an exceptionally talented and yet entitled and heralded child acting out accordingly. his childlike tendencies and unparalleled skills would be loveable otherwise.

' And basketball is little more than thugs running up and down the court scoring on almost every possession and lately diving and flopping on the court trying to sell fouls worse than soccer players. Almost every game, particularly in the playoffs, comes down to the last 5min. At least in hockey every goal means something cause there's only a handful in a game.
If you don't like baseball you don't understand it. It's easy to say that there's a bunch of guys adjusting their jock straps, chewing tobacco and staring at each other when you don't understand the game and are just waiting for a juice head like bonds to crush one over the wall. In that case you're only seeing a fraction of the game. But if you have a good understanding of the game and are paying attention to the way a manager is aligning his infield and where he's positioning his outfield for each pitch in an at bat and the way the opposing manager is moving his players on the base path you're watching a chess game in action. It's not as entertaining for the small minded who are easily bored without non-stop scoring but it's a brilliant game.

I think one of the main reasons he's such a prima donna, compared to Jordan, was that Jordan had to work his ass of to get to where he got. People have been sniffing Lebron's jock since he was 11 or 12.

biggest pos's in the nba are hacker thugs. whatever your beef at least kobe's not a hacker nor a slacker. he does perhaps have one of the tallest ego's...but then all those blingrings don't offer him much correction on that.

P.S. I'm a huge Laker fan, Kobe is a Laker, therefore I'm a Kobe fan. Gotta respect what he's brought to the organization. I definitely get frustrated sometimes at his inability to share the ball with teammates and get them involved at times and I don't think he is always the most encouraging (with his death stare) teammate, but damn does that dude bring it day in and day out for 16+ years. Big respect.

I hadn't. I never followed or watched "The Decision", either. But, I also don't care.
On the court I like him. He kills it from the outside, inside and in-between, he helped a Boston player up that he inadvertently knocked down in this series, and he gives intelligent, respectful postgame interviews.
He's not one of my favorites but I don't hate him like I hate Kobe or anything.

the people who love and hate athletes based upon their off-court persona's are like soap fans. Who cares what they do? I still don't get why pro athletes aren't allowed to have egos when they can back them up these days. Some of the greatest athletes we've ever seen had monster egos and we loved them for it. Muhammed Ali, Reggie Jackson, Rickey Henderson, Michael Jordan, etc.
I get it if the athlete is a convicted wife beater or rapist or something but to hate someone for having an ego above what they're doing off the field or court or ice is absurd. Sports would be boring if every athlete was humble.

"* Missing Ring #5!" - And he will NEVER have that 5th ring if he stays in LA. And he's a Laker for life, right. Now some team may pick him up as a washed up role player to come off the bench during a title drive before the trade deadline but I doubt it. His ego would not allow that.

It's so nice to see you all fighting about something besides politics.
As for Lebron and his entourage/BS, the guy signed a 7 year 90 million dollar contract with Nike on his 18th birthday. If you'd have thrown that kind of money at me when I was 18, I'd have been dead inside of two years. And that's just the tip of the icebreg. Like him or not, he's an incredible athlete. One of the best.

LBJ put the Heat on his back and humped them to Game 7. What a line: 45 - 15 - 5. Nobody has had those numbers in a play off game but Wilt. (that's right, not Kobe) LBJ has another chance to shut up all his haters tomorrow night. We shall see. And what about Wade? I guess it's hard for me to accept the fact that he's not nearly the player he was when they won it all in '06. And for all you Bosh haters here; with CB on the floor last night, the Heat shot 53.3% and with him on the bench, 41.9%. It's all about the spacing.

Not to take anything away from James, but the Celtics played HORRIBLE. They got plenty of wide open looks and...CLANK. Pierce, Garnett, Rondo with the turnovers... .
At least Brandon Bass looked into it. Yikes.
If they play half that bad tomorrow night, it's over.
LBJ just could not miss.

I loved it; thought it was great. My 11 year-old daughter kept saying, "anything's possible", and, "they can still do it", with Boston behind by 23 and 3 minutes left.
Miami fans were leaving Game 5 when it was a 4 point game and 2 minutes left.

OK, I thought you missed the point of the cheer. It was more of a thanks, and motivation for the next game, for a team that the home fans may never see again, as currently assembled.

"LeBron James scored 45 points and added 15 rebounds and five assists, just the second time in NBA history a player put up those numbers in a playoff game. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Wilt Chamberlain had 50 points, 15 rebounds and six assists in the 1964 Western Division Finals against the St. Louis Hawks. "

You know if it was Kobe who put up those numbers, you and the haters would have bitched that he didn't pass the ball enough. And that he laid down in the 2nd half with only 15 points.
Magic also put up some pretty impressive numbers against the Sixers. Playing out of position I believe...

actually....kobe's gone 48/16/3 to closeout the kings (cool you used him as reference mat'l ) then in the next game agains the spurs he went 40/10/3, melo also outdid it just weeks ago, hakeem's outdone it as well.
not to take away lj's stellar performance. boston matches up excellent against all but him - and if they'd hit their shots....?
Then what's this mean????
"LeBron James scored 45 points and added 15 rebounds and five assists, just the second time in NBA history a player put up those numbers in a playoff game. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Wilt Chamberlain had 50 points, 15 rebounds and six assists in the 1964 Western Division Finals against the St. Louis Hawks. "
he's not very hate-able imho - i even would dare say he's a 'good hearted' person. certainly light-hearted. still, a mega-ego like that is fun to watch getting spanked, when it's not on my fav team.
gonna be some really high-level athletic ball to watch... and for that reason, i'm stocked it isn't boston vs spurzzzz
Wade has definitely lost a step since his Finals MVP days. His attitude seems like he begrudgingly handed the reigns over to LeBron only after he came to the realization that they weren't equals on the court. That said, he's still a top player in the league. I'd take a LeBron/Wade 1-2 over Durant/Westbrook. Wade still has those flashes where he can't miss. (A spurt in the second half of game 7 for example.)
DVR is set for this series. I can't wait.

Quote: Funny how Manu's involved so many double flops. I would love to see that happen in a game with the refs letting play continue. No fouls called.
Yup. Leave them on the ground faking and let the play continue a man short. They need to start throwing down fines for bad flops. Delay of game, something. I don't know why the refs continue to give the benefit of the doubt to some of the more prolific floppers. They look like suckers. Cry wolf one time to many...

Seems like that may have begun already to some extent. I remember watching a number of games this playoffs where guys weren't given foul calls that they probably should have been because they were known floppers. JVG mentioned it a couple of times during the Eastern Conference Finals referring to Pietrus IIRC. Still, more flops were rewarded than the other way around.

The hate for LBJ in the bar that I was forced (no TV) to watch game 7 in was laughable. A crowd that knew nothing about the NBA except the Lakers are the greatest, the Chris Paul deal sucked, and LBJ is the spawn of satan. Man, his game is so good to watch. There has NEVER been a player with his skill set. Yeah, a Spur/Celtic Final would have been a let down. Wade has lost a lot more than " a step" since his '06 Finals MVP. Bosh stepped up. Another totally under appreciated Heatle. BUT, I've been an OKC fan since before they were OKC (The Zombies!) From the day they drafted Durant. He has gotten better each year. He's a leader and a role model. It's a tightrope act keeping Westbrook on track and I think that's just one of the tools KD brings to the table. GO ZOMBIES! (in 6)

The only time I opened my yap about that shot clock killer was when this guy swore that Kobe agreed to take less money if they could land one of the big free agents recently. Yeah, right.

BTW, on a side note ..... if the shot clock killer and his brown ball & chain don't finalize their divorce by Monday, they will have to refile if they want to go forward with it in the future. A bit of info for you bean chuggers out there.

I would like it if that happened. Probably not too likely. Well, at least he won't go swooping down the court in a preseason game yelling "Pay Me!" like Shaq.

Quite a few scribes that know way more than I do say the same thing. Heat in a close 6 or 7 game series. Not how I see it though ....
I'm still picking the Heat for game 2, but I'm an unabashed LeBron fan. As long as Dwayne Wade turns his game up a notch (which it seems like he's done in the latter part of all Miami's previous series) I think they'll be OK. For some reason they're playing their best ball with their backs against the wall.

James and Wade will need way more help. LBJ played great last night, but besides early flurries from Battier and Chalmers, he didn't get alot of assistance.

1. Turn this into a Eastern Conference type series and make it into a slow, physical, ugly/slug it out type possession to possession type game. Scores in the mid-80's.
2. Reduce the number of turnovers therefore, no run-outs or fast break points.
3. Someone other than James/Wade/Bosch must step-up and make some plays on both the defensive and offensive side of the ball. Haslem, Miller, Anthony, Jones?

agree with all of that.
bosh should stop shooting threes. it's pretty much a turnover - fastbreak layup at the other end.

Bosh hit three 3's in Game 7 against Boston.
...and he was 1 for 3 last night. Not terrible. It's not like he was jacking up crazy shots. Just wherever he could get it in the flow of the game. He took 7 from inside the 3-point line.
I expect him to play a bigger part in the rest of the series, and Thabo Sefolosha to play a much smaller one.
Spoelstra should be playing more guys too. James Jones and Norris Cole should get some PT, IMO.

Miami was hitting a ton of threes (mainly Senator Battier) and no one can keep up that pace. OKC just kept chugging along and when the "3 train" derailed (or just outside shooting in general) - they easily caught up.
I can see Miami doing some minor defensive adjustments. Probable double team Westbrook on pick and rolls. Let Ibaka or Mr. Illegal Pick Perkins shoot the ball or make some plays. Durant will get his....just make him shoot more to get more....more points but at a lower percentage.
I can see the Thunder using Durant on more pick and rolls with Westbrook to counter any lack of execution from what was said from above.
No rooting favorite in this horse race but I would like to see a 7 game slug fest.
Make Durant or James earn it!!

Some good comments here. I may want OKC to win but like slash, I want a 7 game slug fest (remember, once this is over, it's over) The longer, the better. "Senator Battier" LOL Brian. I like that, he's a smart guy. My wife and I always called him "pizza head" because of those creases in his scalp that you can see after a freshly shaved head. Perkins? That's just 6 good fouls against a team like the Heat w/o a strong inside presence. Of course, 6 good fouls protecting the lane & rim could work out to 6 times knocking Wade & LBJ on their azz. Like Chuck says; "somebody got to knock them down!"

College Student Arrested For Wasabi Attack Cops: Man, 22, hit girlfriend with jeans doused in spicy sauce
UNE 13--A Massachusetts college student is facing criminal charges after admitting he assaulted his girlfriend with a pair of jeans covered in wasabi sauce, an attack that the man claims was prompted when “some guy she slept with in school was texting her.”
John McGuinness, 22, and his girlfriend were returning early Friday from a Barnstable bar--where they had watched a Celtics game--when the woman received the text. The ensuing argument continued until the woman dropped McGuinness off at his home.
While driving to her residence, the 21-year-old woman got a text from McGuninness “stating that he had my $200 pair of jeans and he was throwing them outside,” according to a Barnstable Police Department report. McGuinness is pictured in the above mug shot.
The woman doubled back to McGuinness’s home, where he “came out to the driveway with my jeans covered in wasabi sauce.” She told cops that McGuinness “had my jeans by the waist and whipped me in the face with them. I got wasabi sauce in my eyes and they were burning and I couldn’t see.”
McGuinness, a Springfield College student, then tossed wasabi sauce inside the woman’s car. The victim told officers that after McGuinness threw her to the ground, she got back into her car and retrieved a bottle of water, which she used to flush her eyes.
Cops noted that the passenger side of the woman’s 2007 Toyota Camry “was covered in wasabi sauce.” The victim, whose clothing was covered in dirt stains, had “visible red marks on her neck area” and “her right eye was visible red and swollen.”
After being arrested at his home, McGuinness was placed in a police cruiser, where he admitted, “I did put the wasabi sauce on her jeans but she has done worse to my car in the past.” Along with calling the woman “crazy,” McGuinness added, “Some guy she slept with in school was texting her. I want it known I am not drunk and she is.”
McGuinness was charged with three misdemeanors, including assault and battery “by dangerous weapon/sauce.” Free on bail, McGuiness is scheduled for a July 12 pretrial hearing.

What do you think about this? : "The first NBA Finals matchup, perhaps of many, between the NBA’s two best players, LeBron James and Kevin Durant. They are both still young. They both lead teams that will be picked to win their conferences next fall. Anyone care to guess how many Finals stages they'll share in their careers? They might, like Bird and Magic, swap MVPs and titles for a long time. And they even guard each other when it counts. We are all lucky to be witnesses."

I think Durant played a hell of a game considering how early he got into foul trouble. First game I watched all the way through this year and it was a good one. I thought OKC is gonna pull it out of the shitter.

I like the quote overall. The Bird/Magic comparo is a bit overhyped and as yet undeserved, but limiting it to the swapping of the next few MVP's / titles you have to agree.
Also might nitpick about Lebron's youth. Only 27, sure, but 275-pound point guards having lengthy careers? It would be a first, and Lebron is certainly a world-class genetic superman, but I'm thinking that physics will take his wheels before too long. Hopefully he'll have a long and healthy career, but I'm going short on that.
Gm 2 was great. Heat just needed to catch their breath from the Boston series. Gm 3 will be nutz!
Great game but OKC should probably stop this trend of letting Miami get way ahead in the first half, and then dramatically catch up. Makes for good drama and excitement, but they mistimed it a bit last night.
Next THREE games are in Miami.

I jump into following hoop right after football season. Actually, I will give my wife a couple weeks of my full attention, and then I will start following it. You see, the last quarter of the season the real contenders start jockeying for their seated positions in the playoffs, so the games start really mattering and the level of play begins to rise. This is the best time to start watching, man. Then the level of play continues to get more exciting and usually peaks at the Finals.
This is going to be a very enjoyable series.

monkey ... coming ..... OFF! Heading into Game 4, James is averaging 30.7 points and 9.7 rebounds in the playoffs. Here’s the list of players who have averaged at least 30.7 points and 9.7 boards in a postseason during the modern era:
OKC is almost gone. Bye. Oh, and remember the previous conversations we've had this season re some of the players who are frequent floppers?
Stern happy with season, worried about flopping
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Commissioner David Stern believes the NBA is need of some tweaking even after following the black eye of the lockout with a better-than-expected regular season.
The first forum for change will come next Monday, when the competition committee will discuss ways to try and eliminate flopping for the sake of drawing a foul and to consider whether to expand instant replay.
"Flopping almost doesn't do it justice," Stern said Tuesday just prior to the start of the NBA Finals. "Trickery. Deceit designed to cause the game to be decided other than on its merits. We'll be looking at that.
The Thunder will be back and so will the Heat. LeBron's first ring coming soon. LBJ Like MJ???? Could be better ..... (stat wise, you f-ing haters LeBron had 26 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds in the Miami Heat’s Game 4 victory Tuesday, plateaus Jordan never reached in an NBA Finals game. LeBron is the first player with those numbers in an NBA Finals game since Larry Bird in 1986.
LeBron, who is 27 years old, is now one game from his first NBA championship. Jordan didn’t win his first ring until he was 28 years old. LeBron has now been to three NBA Finals series before the time Jordan reached his first.
LeBron has three regular-season MVP awards. When Jordan was LeBron’s age, he had only one MVP.
LeBron is averaging 30.5 points, 9.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game this postseason. Jordan averaged at least 30 points per game in each of his last 12 postseasons, but he never averaged as many as eight rebounds per game in a postseason.
Jordan had 22 double-digit assist games and 21 double-digit rebound games in his postseason career, but he had just two postseason triple-doubles.
LeBron already has seven career postseason triple-doubles and was a rebound shy of his eighth in Game 4.
Jordan was certainly known for his scoring prowess, but he never scored at least 25 points in 14 straight games in a single postseason. LeBron has done that twice, in 2009 and his current streak. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, nobody else in NBA playoff history has done that even once.

43 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and it didn't matter.
"Westbrook scored 43 points on 20-32 shooting from the field. His 20 made field goals are the most in an NBA game the last two seasons, and the most since Luis Scola had 20 against New Jersey on March 13, 2010.. ... Westbrook became the first player in Finals history to score at least 43 points with three free-throw attempts or fewer."

1st, i dreamt kaukau's thread last night, the worst part was waking up.
now, that's out of the way. here are my general thoughts on the game yesterday.
1. you can't have you pg score all the points and not run set plays for others. 5 assists. only 5?! okc barely had 13 the entire game. lbj had 13 assists by himself. westbrook's bonehead foul and then fancy dribble off his foot sealed it.
2. where was james harden? 2-10, eight points, 1 three pointer. i thought he was tentative and should have taken it in. also thought he pulled a stupid pissy foul on lbj at the end.
Harden has sucked so bad this series and especially last night. I was hoping they'd bench him as he couldn't hit anything, anywhere, and was passing into the Heat and turning it over.
I know what you are saying about Westbrook, but with the rest of his team playing so poorly, without his scoring, it would have been a blowout. Durant was off his game and settling for outside jumpers and/or trying to post up and hook like he was Duncan or Shaq.
I loved the Westbrook show, last night. Just wish it could have mattered.

Good points. But you have to factor in that they would not be in the Finals w/o Harden's heroics earlier in the playoffs. I love his game but he's choked in the Finals. Westbrook? Hell, I don't know what to think about him. The assist point is well taken. The Thunder will be back again and again if they can keep this core group of players intact and healthy. But this year is over.

Good point.
*if* the defender leaves their feet, it testically is a foul.

I don't know how you "leave your feet", but I get that it *is* a foul. I think that it should not be. It is akin to grabbing the defenders hand an smacking yourself in the face with it, so that you get a trip to the line.

it's kinda ugly, but i get why it has to be a foul.
* did anyone see the exchange of facial expressions when dfish got blocked into lj and called for the foul. fascinating game w/i the game moment among veterans.

That was classic.
But, can OKC give Fisher back to LA, now? Fisher is crap.

westbrook was a one man show, and nearly enough to pull it off.
i hope there's more than one more of these to watch...
Yes, yes, yes, and yes.
And, I do hope they crack down on flopping. AND, I so wish they would stop giving fouls to Wade's (and others) pump-fake-the-defender-into-the-air-and-then-crouch-underneath-him-so-he-falls-on-you-and-then-throw-the-ball-in-the-air. That is not really a foul; I'm sorry.
I call that move "The Kobe"

LOL. Yeah, it's amazing how everyone fawns over him when he hits the occasional 3 pointer. And the only way he can D-Up anymore is to jump in front of his man and hope for a charge. Gritty!

That look Fish dropped was awesome! Perfect.
rice, I don't think OKC picked up Fish for his on court game as much as veteran leadership for a very, very young team.

Quote: 1st, i dreamt kaukau's thread last night, the worst part was waking up.
now, that's out of the way. here are my general thoughts on the game yesterday.
1. you can't have you pg score all the points and not run set plays for others. 5 assists. only 5?! okc barely had 13 the entire game. lbj had 13 assists by himself. westbrook's bonehead foul and then fancy dribble off his foot sealed it.
2. where was james harden? 2-10, eight points, 1 three pointer. i thought he was tentative and should have taken it in. also thought he pulled a stupid pissy foul on lbj at the end.
The foul, the dribble off the foot, the "chocking when you have an open shot so you pass"-ing... I blame a lot of it on youth. So, I haven't followed them much, how many of them are returning next year? If they keep this team, this could be one hell of a learning experience for a very young team. They could use this as motivation and maturity to build on for next year.

Of course. But wouldn't it be better for OKC to get him out of his uniform and into a suit and off the court and on to the bench. I like the idea of Dfish with a clipboard in hand, dropping some science in the huddle during a time out.

Anybody see this vid of LeBron during Wade's press conference?
LeBron (while wearing ridiculous glasses) has now declared that the glasses thing has gone too far. He ditched his before he went out for his conference.

He is going to make an incredible coach. One of the better one's who will have transisitoned from player to coach. I bet playing for Phil for all those years must have been incredible for a player as smart as Fish. Not just the plays, but learning the ability to lead, inspire, and coach a team in such a dynamic manner.

I was lmao at a couple of the those Harden flops. It was like the refs decided he'd pulled so many flops on them this year he wasn't going to get a call all night. About time. If the commissioner really does go forward with the anti-flopping rule he was talking about a couple of games ago, they should call it The Harden rule.

Was the flagrant call on Fisher as ridiculous as I thought it was?
Yeah, that was bad. It was a foul, but the flagrant thing was stupid. Must have been because he leaned into him just before the contact, but holy crap. Lee Bron probably has 50 pounds him. Self defense.

Tell me you didn't make that. Because whoever made that has their panties so far up their vagina they will probably have to have them surgically removed.
That's great.

I agree with you both. Bummed it ended so quick. And I think iaklahomo is somewhere in the middle of America near Canada, I think. Most people just fly over that area when they are going to the other coast.

Whaaaaaat? Fisher looked like a DB taking out a WR! He didn't even tried to make a play for the ball. Unlike trying to take a charge, Fisher lowered his shoulder and tried to knock him down. Love the guy, but IMHO Fisher does play dirty at times.
