The model thing has gotten insane.
So I figure he can change it to The Thang and avoid a problem. Doc has The Thang. Would you believe The It? Stretch has The It. Whatever. Although now that I think of it, J7 has The Whatever.

i made a series of boards for my buddies called the muff divers. one buddy wanted a step up version so he got the shaved muff diver. actually his wife ordered it for him as a christmas present. she called to ask me "is xxxx's shaved muff diver ready yet?"

given at least half of it's outline coming from the diamond fish, it's likely going to get into waves easier and paddle just as well if not better than the wd. the pulled in squash tail should keep it loose off the top and almost as pocket friendly. not sure if or how much rail line is lost through the bump but some of that may be compensated for further up towards the nose. this board will for sure own smaller surf. we'll have to ask rob and gas for it's top end and other performance reports

just picked up my 5'10 DF from LB surf yesterday. Looks/feels really good.
Big thanks to Robert and his team! Too bad there is zero swell in the forecast.
Pics will be posted this weekend.

Hey all.
So, I've ridden my DF for the past 5 sessions or so.
Waves were crappy to pretty decent. Board works really well.
Paddles and gets into waves with ease. Fast, lively and very easy to surf.
Doesn't feel like a fish. Paddles like one, but surfs more like a shortboard.
Rode it with Mattison's stilletto fins and they felt great. Switched em out and rode a twin plus trailer. Equally as fun.I'm thinkin twin plus trailer for small stuff, stillettos for bigger stuff. Love the board. Huge thanks to Robert and his team.

Ok, need to pull the trigger on one of these. Rode the WWD in knee-highish wind slop today and, while it does an decent job in this stuff, I need a bit more.
Now the decision is swallow or hip/squash? This will be used for crap wave comps. I'm leaning towards the latest version as I think it will transition better with the WWD.

rob's been getting a lot of really good feedback from the modern 80's board and it fit's right into the wwd spectrum as far as utility is concerned.

I mostly show up in the AM around 9. Rob is frequently at the front desk returning phone calls when I roll by. He might be a little later if there are some waves. Just because you missed him once doesn't mean you can't talk to thim.
