AFTER watching him from Trestles I noticed he DID NOT ride his Deathstar in his two heats but rode a traditional shortboard, not sure what brand but he was sure ripping on it.

Stewart "Stu" Kennedy....... he made it past TWO rounds at the Billabong Pro at JBay (point break conditions) AND just found the other contest (Mr. Price Pro Ballito) also in South Africa and did not surf his Deathstar in struggling beach break conditions: http://www.aspworldtour.com/asp-info/?sh...amp;source=prod I'm just wondering what was he surfing on?

My Nano is developing a couple stress cracks in the epoxy on the rails near the wide point of board. I wish I would’ve ordered it with a stringer now, but can one of you shapers or ding repair gurus provide some advice? Neither crack is taking on water, but one is about 2” long and fairly deep. Is it worth getting that spot cut out and patched? I really want to surf the board another season but I’m worried it won’t make another 6 months of near daily surfing. Anyway to make this board stronger?

4'11" x 16.25" x 1-7/8" I think would be perfect. next gens are sized down quite a bit more than the mph's.

Should I sell it without riding it and hope to sell the board for around $650 (lose $200) or ride it and if I don't like it then sell it for $550-600?? is it way too much extra you think? or is it worth a try?

I think the Mitch's board is going to have too much volume for you. My next gen is 5'2 x 17.5 x 2.25 and I would probably go a bit smaller on my next one and we basically surf the same size boards.
If you want we can meet up for a session and you can take mine for a spin to figure out what size will work best for you. That being said, I think Daniel's suggested dims sound pretty spot on.

next time, get one a little bigger and then don't ride it and sell it to me.

5'4" x 18.5" x 2.5" Daniel hid a good amount of foam on it. I think it's somewhere between 29-30 liters iirc. Thing is epic Many thanks to Tomo! So stoked right now

Can I ask how all you guys are finding the boards turning backside if you don't manage to get your foot planted way back on the kick?? The wide tail and what would be considered, mild tail rocker still has me wondering... Cheers A side on rocker shot of that deathstar would be awesome!
