Just got out of the hospital a few days ago. How long to do you think I can get back on a board? Obviously after rehab and all that.
I hurt pretty good even thought I am on 4mg dilaudid (every 4hrs) and Valuim (every 6 hrs). The Valium really helps the hips from burning.

The neck was done 6 months ago.

Holy crap.

You and waterbaby look oddly similar when viewed inside out. And I got to see her hallucinate on dilaudid her first night after getting a plate bolted onto her humerus.

Wha happen?

Back on a board? Tough call. Could be as little as two months, could be a year. Depends on your recovery, rehab, doctor's clearance, pain level, risk level, and spirit.

This happened on the way home from my honeymoon. My wife is ok.
I had to use a fleet kit today. I've been eating 3 colace a day and drinking prune juice and it still is killing me. Any suggestions?

After 3 hip operations in 1 year ending with a total replacement, I was so plugged up I thought I was going to bust a vein sitting on the toilet. Almost called 911 while sitting there.

The lower back screws are seriously long...

Talk to your doctors, and listen.

Bone healing and maturing time is on the order of 18 weeks. the immature bone can be laid down quite quickly, in only 3-4 weeks (or 1 week if they used INFUSE), but it still has to mature to reach reasonable strength, and that will take another 12-14 weeks.

So if everything were done properly, you could wait that long, AND THEN start getting musculature that supports the involved regions strong enough to go. Going too early can upset the screws....then it is back to 18 MORE weeks again if you are lucky enough not to go back for more surgery.

Probably six months before anything stressful should be done. But talk to your docs, there may be extenuating circumstances that would make the time course shorter or longer in your case.
