So is this actually copied from Dane's handshape? Fin plugs literally eyeballed? The annoying thing is, plenty of people will actually buy these.

Guessing this is a good thing all mini Simmons shapers can now call their designs sperm whales. At least their text write up does not include some BS of Dane being influenced by Bob Simmons.

Put Dane in a room with some lubricant and an internet connection and what you get is the Spooge. Sure it looks like one of those crappy mini simmons but it has Dane's DNA all over it...

how are u supposed to size these? they look pretty low volume. how come it don't show up when I punch my weight and ability into the ci board selector? why isn't there "hipster" in the ability section of the board selector?

I surfed Strand almost every day (when there were waves there) for years and could count the times on my hand I saw him there, he was normally up at Emma Wood and breaks up that way.
I actually saw him surfing on base more than anywhere else, Bobby Martinez too.
sorry to nit-pick, Im OCD like that lol

if it's so harmless then why did ci put a full blown disclaimer in place of the board description. this is how i read it.
"umm so yeah dane shaped this. he didn't really do it right. the feedback we've been getting on it is not great."
just b/c he found it went straight pretty well and decided to get barreled and do airs on it doesn't mean ci has to sell it too. you don't have to sell everything you make.
there might as well be a 'no refunds' sticker on the front of it.

i think i asked this recently but do converging channels on CI boards mean hoyte? his converging channel bottoms under the hoyte label always stuck out to me. wondering how the finish shaping thing works at ci, do all the guys do it (channels) the same or with their own style?

They posted up on their blog about "working closely with Surf Ride". I guess Surf Ride is going to stock a few Wizard Sleeves.
I had a 5'10" once, was too big. Saw potential...would love a 5'7"
