Dead leg
      #2322653 - 06/06/12 10:48 PM

Or something like dead leg. Turn a certain way while going from sitting to paddling position on my short board and my entire left leg freezes up with a grade 10 shooting pain in my calf and groin. Pain lasts like 10 ten seconds Moving it helps. This has also happened while sitting at my desk at work, but mostly while surfing. What is this?

Very little information to go on here. Could be a pinched nerve, nerve impingement, or some weird muscle cramping.
