From what I've seen locally, kooks.

I've never seen anyone who could actually surf have one of these attached to their boards. Whenever I see them I imagine how mind numbingly boring the footage must look.

Yeah totally agree..they suck when attached to board, nothing worse than footage of some guys mug and him flaping around in two foot slop, only look good if held or on arm or helmet, but even then waves have got to be good and got to be pitted deep.
