I want to be very clear that this thread is about Stretch helping me, not about the board. I asked Stretch if he would help me shape my second ever board. I wanted to shape another one for about 8 years but was waiting for the right person to ask for help from. By nature I'm not great with my hands but I love surfboards and figured at the very least it would help me learn more about design. My first board was shaped with the help of a good friend who had done about 80 boards. Bless his heart but it was a little bit of the blind leading the blind.
Stretch gave me just the right help/time on my own/ crap when I screwed up/ advice and guidence. He and I have a lot in common when it comes to perfectionisim, and striving for quality doing what we do. The good ol american work ethic from the old school. "if your going to do something...do it right". I appreciate this so much in stretch. I have never met another shaper with greater attention to detail and care for his customer.
Alright at the risk of sounding like a total groupie all the above is very true. Enough sap...or crap. Heres the board
