Played phone tag with both of them for a few days and finally got to hang with both briefly on Saturday. There was a Japanese Theme at the Kauai Museum, show and tell, food booth in the back, items for sale, etc.
Deb & I drove into Lihue, grabbed a parking spot and walked into the Museum and it was packed with visitors and locals enjoying the smooth soothing sounds of a gentleman playing a bamboo flute, Kind of an erie sound and waiting for Miyamoto Musashi to come out with 47 ronin's awaiting.
Chatted a bit, met Neal's Dad, hung out, walked through the small venue, Neal had his 30th Class reunion to go to so we'd get together again before he left.
Off to catch up with PRV in Wailua at the beach. Got a text where they were at so beers and foolishness were up for grabs. Hung out for a couple of hours, shooting the breeze. Deb & PRV got along right off the bat, talked Santa Cruz & NorCal areas. It was like they both knew each other from a different era.
Just hung out and talked story. We got a good buzz going and finally bailed.
They headed for home and we went for Mexican food and more beers, then headed home.
Played phone tag again on Sunday. Neal was leaving in the early evening so I drove in, picked up PRV & her friend, she was staying with and headed for Dukes to meet Neal. More beers and sashimi, and some lively chat. Neal is a really neat guy, gave some props to Bud808, and we listened to Neal about some of his escapades out in the water shooting photo's. We got another good buzz going and Neal had to get going and catch his plane.
PRV got some surf a few times over in Poipu. She was stoked. Neal got to come "home" for a few days and I got to meet them both. Neat people, good times, and a fond farewell to both! Neal will have to provide more photo's.
I've seemed to have lost my phone somewhere in the mix... of things, so post up Neal!  Neal kept bugging the bartender to take pic's of us fools!

Awesome post once again PPK!! True aloha and hopefully some year I'll be able to get over there to experience it first hand.
Thanks for sharing the pics and stock! 
P.S. I like beer and buzzes on tropical islands, so I think I would fit right in  You da man

I stay here. Recovering from all the ale, and catching up with work. Really good fun going back home. Good classmates (KHS 82), good friends (PPK & PRV), and some pretty good surf. Spent some important family time with my parents as Peter mentioned. So funny that Peter and I have been conversing online for at least 15 years now and only met this weekend. And talking story with Punkrokvixen was a great bonus and honor. I get all smiles now.

and asking the bartender to take our picture.

So much fun... but two days in a row with PRV & Archy...
lost my phone
GPS'd, my Droid, saw where it was..
went to look for it
and by the time I got to the location
someone had found it
GPS'd the phone again
and saw that it had moved
with GPS in hand it took me to Verizon
Someone had turned it in, but it had been run over by a Vehicle
and the screen was cracked multiple times ...
I was so hung over trying to chase it down
Good fun Neal & PRV....!!

I had the best time with you guys! I'm so glad we got together. Deb is the coolest, you are a very lucky man PPK! Thanks again for everything, you definitely made the trip extra special. I can't wait to come back, I'm still smiling from that Poipu sesh

Insurance is paying for the Droid.. (actually I paid $99.00 for a new phone)
I get it Thursday. OtterBox, is sending me a new one, when I explained that it was run over multiple times in the roadway, after leaving your house, in god knows what hour of the morning.
After Saturday & Sunday drinking with you and Archie, I need a break from visiting erBB'er's for a bit....

I'm thinking I might try to come back with my daughter sometime in Oct or Nov. She could have her first surf lesson in Kauai, lucky kid!
