nice big guy single fin looks like

My Forstall double ender has been owning the small stuff this weekend, these wide tails pick up anything that moves but yet are free and easy once up and riding, my board is loving the curl/tube, it wants to be right in the vortex; turns are no issue either, very easy to break the tail and fins into a nice smooth cutback; and did I mention glide, I have ridden waves all the way from the outside, gotten a good ride, crouch down, glide the board to the inside and stand up again on the little walls to close out barrels, the amount and length of rides I am getting on thigh to waist high waves is like having a longboard underneath me yet it's only 6'6... so glad we went eps/epoxy on mine, its the only epoxy board I own but its nice having the lighter weight board in these smaller waves, it definitely is a noticeable positive difference imo... been riding mine 2+1, moved the center fin back yesterday and it tightened up the tail real nice, more control and drive when pumped, have not ridden it single yet but will eventually... really enjoying the board, I'd say it falls into the "nailed it" category for me, it does everything I wanted it to do exactly as I hoped it would, catching waves on this thing is super easy, and I am 210lbs and I am easily paddling into mushy 2 footers and having a blast, the egg is owning! The board has a nice smooth ride to it, solid paddler, catches waves easy, and surfs very fast and solid even in the thigh to waist range
surf is best this morning, cleaned up and about waist to chest with some wall, getting in my car to go have a run of it in this mornings surf before work
sorry for the semi thread jack, just wanted to let you know the stoke is flowing!

What fin sets work well with this board.

Flat here. I'll be driving over to surf with you on the next storm. Glad you are enjoying your board WC.

waves today were ridiculous fun here, hot as hell, offshore to dead calm wind for much of the mid morning session I had, good 3ft with some push, occasional bigger drops, this double ender just zipping around the lineup, people are getting a bit surf crazed, this little grom walks up the stairs carrying his board as I am checking the surf and is just smiling, buzzing, out of his mind and he looks at me and says "It's going off out there"..it was like a young spicoli moment or something, had me laughing, feeling good for him..another lady walking out of the water carrying her board as I was getting in says "it's so perfect out there today" and walks off kinda stumbling across the sand
people have a great appreciation for even small clean surf over here ( as you know)... its what makes living here feel right to me. Its been a good day.

Fun boards are a common theme on this forum. Unless you're a frothing grom most folks at the least have one [6'6"- 8'] in their quiver. They can be more fun than a longboard at times...
