Sprain what do you think

Elbow: Is tender, sometime stiff, can have sharp and then dull ache pain but no problem moving.
Wrist: Can be weak with same pain as elbow. Palm side of hand slightly swollen. Over a month and half ago had real burning, felt like wrist being squashed and sharp dull aching pain from forearm to wrist. Under active thyroid.
Blood and ultrasound fine. No fall and No sports. When I lift shopping (food bags) that aren't too heavy I now get a sharp pull in the wrist. Can it just be weakness? What could I have done as it's not been right since. When I first hurt it about a week later it was really sore like an 8/10 but again I've never sprained so didn't even think it was that.

I have very little to go on. That history is a bit erratic. The proper terminology here is "non-specific soft tissue injury of the forearm." Can you recount the actual original injury and timeline along with the subsequent insults to the area?

so in order for him to figure this out, it would be helpful to answer the following:

and let me preface this by saying, sometimes, kinda, sorta, wierd, funny, and especially, "its like, you know, like that." all have no meaning to a doctor.

when did it start? What were you doing right before it started?

Where does it hurt? specifically.

What does it feel like? i.e., dull , burn, stab, shoot, sharp, tear?

how long does that last? seconds, minutes, hours, days? even though it may have been going on for 3 weeks, it may not hurt every second of every day.

what makes it hurt less?

what makes it hurt more?

is there anything else associated with it?

( hey surfdoc- ever think about preprinting those questions onto a form and having them answered before a pt gets there? i.e filled out in waiting room. could save a lot of time; maybe we should do, cut down our avereage wait from 6 hours to 4!!)
