Will be in Oahu for a wedding in September, plan on camping afterwards for several days, any suggestions on beautiful campgrounds close to good surf? Have been searching but not too many campsites on the island. Also any good local shops either in North Shore or town to rent a board from? Thanks!

Here is the site for all the state run camping area's. Malaekahana is probably the closet to the north shore.

There use to be Campgrounds out by Wailua? Homeless folks were staying out there too ....
