Custom Modern Fish 5-fin For Raffy
Raffy is a college student here with a week off picking up his new board with swells forcasted for both sides of the island.
It was glassed by Bamm Bamm 808 who he surfs with regularly.
It came out super nice with the airbrush done by Ralph at Airworks Hawaii.

At least I got to see and check them out in person.
There's going to be alot of happy folks out there when he gets all the boards in his room out. Saw alot of familiar names here.
I don't think folks realize how much additional work it is to do the boards, get them glassed, then hand make all the fins, then stage and take pictures to send to the owners and then pack and ship them out. All done by one guy's hands..
These boards were in his shop last sunday and he went and made the fins, photo'd, packed and got them shipped them off within a couple of days. The guy's a board bulding machine.. And he loves it..

Greg called me recently, did not expect it whatsoever, he and I talked for about an hour or more about all kinds of stuff, but of course we talked most about my mod fish and some other ideas about another quad I would like to order eventually...I will notput all the details out here but lets just say the time spent on each board, and then the fins.... for what you pay for time spent, much less knowledge, experience, R&D, dealing w galssers, packing shipping, etcetcetcetcetc... its got to be a love affair he has, you are getting it for beyond fair $ imo... he puts his art, his boards, his clients at the top, all equally side by side, none higher than the other, and what you get from him as a surfer and as a consumer is unlike anything else, hands down, from end product to customer service to input on your thoughts about your board... He has no competition except those that he learned from I would say. And to call me and shoot sht w me for as long as he did... I'm flattered, almost embarrassed... I'm just some working stiff family guy that enjoys surfing...
I left that conversation feeling like a million bucks, high as a kite, and he ended our long conversation on this note... 1)surfing is about fun... 2) he's just the toymaker
I have not had time to even really consider our conversation all that much, as much as I did enjoy talking with him, but sitting here considering it just brings it all to the center... FUN.
I cant wait to put in my next order.
forogt  ... really dig the color on this one... we should have plenty surf into this coming week here in FL so my 6'2 will be getting plenty water time, report back on the quad fin set up coming...

Beautiful board...love the color! Greg is a cool dude. When I called to place an order we talked like old friends for 30 minutes about many topics. Talking about his board design concepts is very enlightening. Can't wait to get my board and see what these are all about!
