My 6'2" EPS Dyna Glyde is finished. 6'2" X 22 1/2" X 3 3/8" with 4x4 on the deck and 4 on the bottom. Short board rocker with a fuller nose and added thickness to aid in paddling. Can't wait to get some sessions in on it. If this rides anything like the 7'2" Wayne make for me it's going to be insane. [image]http:// [/image] [image]http:// [/image]

Nice Wego
I like this when I first saw it. Dig the 5 boxes.
How big is the nose and tail?
Cheers -B~

saw this one last night... looked amazing
the vents are really interesting -- apparently, you need one vent touching each block of foam and because of the interesting stringer work, there needed to be two vents.
either way, the board will perform very well I suspect and if I weren't so obsessed with getting a bryd fish from Wayne next, i would be hollering for one of these!

I fondled that at the shop yesterday..... VERY nice!!! Really a cool version of the DG, I LOVE the "clean" look, the trick double stringer and the 5 box set up. Really sweet!

Psylum - Initially I went to Wayne to get a Galaxy Twin after seeing yours but after talking to him for a while we switched to a Bryd Pod then eventually to this Stubby Dyna Gylde. I basically told Wayne that I wanted a small stubby board that can still perform better than a standard egg yet retain wave catching ability and this is what he came up with. I'll let you give it a try the next time I see you in the water.

Excellent! Yeah, I was in the water when you guys were leaving the other day and ran into Stubster. Maybe we'll see you out later this week.

Whew! What a long day. Just got back from O/S to drop off my DG with JJR. I only trust the best to repair my boards.
I stopped by Wayne's factory this morning after my 3.5 hr surf session this morning. I got to fondle the stubby.
That board is very stout. That board should really move when you paddle. Great design! I would really love to try that bad boy out for a couple of waves if I see you out there.
Now back to the rocker question.... Wayne showed me the rocker on the stubby and it has way more rocker than you would imagine. Much more rocker than a performance shortboard of the same size, but the deck is pretty flat, so by looking at the board, you wouldn't think it would have so much rocker.
I ended up putting in my order for the stubby. Mine will be 6'0" with a single stringer, slightly narrower, and just a slight decrease in thickness with subtle channels, 5 fin boxes, 4x4x4 oz glass, and that blinding fluorescent green. Once Wayne creates the custom rocker template, he'll submit it to have the EPS foam blown. This may be my go to board this coming summer since it will work in a variety of conditions.
Stoked!

Kolohe - the board is at Wayne's shop right now being scanned but I plan to pick it up after work tomorrow. I will shoot some side shots of the rocker once I get a chance.
