Out with a bummed left knee, so had time to take some pics of my working quiver for 2011 summer.... As you can see, I like black and white boards, black rails boards, or you can say I am color blind .... Despite some overlaps, all have a different tail , and different weights to them.... Haven't been happier with my slimmed down quiver! tomo nano: 5'7" x 19.25 x 2.5 square tail coil m80 slim: 5.10" x 19.5 x 2.38 double bump small swallow coil pre-AARP: 5.11" x 19.29 x 2.38 pulled in round tail JS Mystery: 6'0" x 19.18 x 2.5 squash

The same as my winter board!
Surf my 6'6 squash thruster almost regardless from thigh high to DOH. If a little more juice, switch to my other 6'6 thruster which has a sneaky amount of nose volume to it. No crutches needed here.
And if the surf is too pusillanimous, f*ck surfing. I'd rather play basketball or golf.

Nice boards in this thread. I love small wave boards since those are the waves we ride the most right?

Here ya go, wax build up and a couple pressure dings notwithstanding, this board cuts the mustard 95% of the time. Suits me well in almost all conditions:

I would really like to experiment with small wave boards more but I just dont have the money. Right now my summer quiver is mostly:
1. 5'10 Twin Keel 2. 6'1 Quad 3. 9'4 Single fin
Im thinking about converting my twin keel into a quad but Im not sure that would do much. I loved it at first but it hasnt been producing lately. My next fish will definately be shorter and have 4 fins. Maybe a Zamora or Album HP fish both look sick.

5'8" Album Sub 5'10" quad hp-fish 5'10" Lost Conquest 6'1'" 5-fin slug 6'3" hpsb
Then again, that's my quiver most of the time. Looking forward to riding the Sub.

It's been mostly knee-high or less so far this summer. I'd be losing my mind without this puppy.

5'8" GH Keel
5'10" Roberts WD
6'1' Roberts BD
These are the 3 I go to most of the time. I have others that are more tuned for better surf and they rarely get out in the summer.

5'10x19.75x2.38 JS blakbox with g10 griffins 4.5" fronts and 4.38" rears. rear pushed back 1/8". Money in the bank. Just incredible how good this board is in less than perfect conditions. I want one of those mystery's now!

Thanks. The purpose of the flat step deck was to keep as much volume as possible in the board. Too me riding a flat deck is similar to a concave deck. Your center of gravity is a little lower in relation to that of the board. You feel a little more connected and a little more response. The rail/deck of that board is very similar to the new Dagger model Taylor is riding.

I like both. I own both. They are similar but different. Both have a great flex response. Resin-X feels a little more water friendly to me in that it absorbs vibrational energy better. Coil is more durable.

how would a custom 6'0 go for me? 6'0x19.25x2.38? I don't like the 2.5" rails on the stock ones and the 5'11 seems a bit slim for my age group
