If Liberals believe it, it must be wrong. Must hate all things liberal and progressive. I think it's tied to the whole inability to accept change in their lives. They think that a book written 2,000 years ago by people that thought the Earth was flat should still be considered the truth today. So anything that challenges their way of life and thinking must be defeated. Global climate change = change your fcking life = no can do in their tiny little heads.

I used to be 100% on the "science is still out" side of the climate change argument. If you're still on that side, you have your head buried in the sand. The only reasonable discussion to be having now is what to change first. Hard material production, transportation, or livestock?

It aint complicated...big business runs the republican party and so obviously they have alot to lose. No other reason why the repub party would care about science...only when it interferes with the Bible and big business do they suddenly become "skeptics".
Prove me wrong.

What I don't get is that there are tons of other reasons to modify how we do things. The way we manufacture is extremely wasteful. Less waste = less money spent. More efficiency = less money spent and yet the deniers say that change will cost them more money. But then again these are the people that will blast their toes off with a shotgun just to prove they can fit their foot into the same shoe they wore in 6th grade.
Like I said, there are many reasons to change the way we do things and climate change is one, but I don't think for a moment that the human race is developed enough to come together across the planet to make a difference in the outcome. Therefore, high tide it is.
