Ya, on the way out to East Cape, that spot right off the road (near Laguna Hills development?) that has hints of ridability, but hairball rocks and boils under the surface, let alone breaking close to the beach/rock outcroppings as shown. I've seen it go off, 2x overhead+, but one mistake and a pummeling wash into the shorebreak rocks will be your destiny, specially if the first wave of the set. Ride of your life, or severe rock beating. Never seen a wave ridden, but once saw a guy out, and one on the beach with a board, debating.

Not the spot in the pic. IMO, that spot was IDed correctly by Geo above.
SD, I think you are referring to Wi-Mesa (Wiamea + Mesa) A very heavy spot. There's only a handful of guys out that way that want anything to do with it. You could die easily out there.

I can only imagine. East Cape can go off on big straight South or SSE So Hemi. swells. The mysto spots well up into the gulf start lighting up. Catch some for me. We're just seeing hints up here at the well exposed straight south and SSE spots.
