Back in Town - sick sick footage, insane waves in Aus and Indo are highlights. All around great vid. If you dug Montaj, you'll love this.

Young Guns 2 - twice as good as the first Young Guns. Amazing helicopter shots, adds a whole new dimention to what you're watching.

Definitely get Second Thoughts.

I haven't seen it, but I assume Campaign 2 goes all out.

I've also been diggin Framelines. Some sick camera work from the waterphotogs.

good thread on surf movies (click here).

I own a ton and these are my favorite...

1. Shelter - artistic. Not a movie that will amp you though.
2. Campaign 2 - MENTAL! Just wait until you see Slater's section.
3. Campaign - SICKNESS. Bruce is insane. :screwy:
4. Thicker Than Water - on the artistic side
5. Broke Down Melody - artistic as well

These movies are ALL super solid and anyone of them could easily have made the last spot on my list.

Framelines - I think this won SURFER mag's 'Best DVD' award a few years back.
5th Symphony Document
TO': Day of Days - Laird's first visit to Teahupoo. WARNING: do not smoke up and watch this movie. TRUST ME from personal experience.
September Sessions - an amazing buy on amazon.com ($11?). The sound track is awesome.
2nd Thoughts - Full on feral in Indo. Will it motivate you to take the road less travelled? Tower Records sells it for super cheap! ($10?)

I like:

Young Guns 2
Campaign 2
Broke Down Melody
Occumentary
Searching for Tom Curren
Both Endless Summers

Another good one (it's not really a "movie" but has tons of ripping and barrel rides) is Op Pro Boat Trip Challenge. It has Bruce Irons, CJ Hobgood, Occy, and others going nuts in Indo. It also has a feature that lets you play only the men's surfing and skip directly over the women's.

Sprout is a great film (IMHO). I especially enjoyed it after I had a few tokes.

Oh yeah, Litmus too. The footage of Curren (esp'y at La Conchita) and Derek Hynd at J-Bay is unreal. A must-see.

I really enjoyed Single Fin Yellow. Lots of unpretentious riding. Cool if you are into long boarding.
