Check out the website they have the 333 style baggy with a 21" outseam plenty long! They are my favorite suits, no team no prohos just good quality trunks that last forever. I had a buddy who silkscreens do up a couple pairs

I've got an old pair, from the mid 60s, mint condition,
in my mini surf museum.
Every summer I pull em off the wall, slip em on, and
cruise. They are so stylish-low hip, tieup velco,
and short leg length.
Made of like boat sail material and double stitched everywhere.
By far the best boardshorts ever invented.
No hype just core.

I bought a couple pairs of Birdwells for $9.99 last year from some online place, and the fuckers were so tight that you could tell what religion I was.
I sent them back.

The "sail cloth" is spinaker nylon. Discontinued, unfortunately. You can still get it in ceratin colors, for $20 a pair. Check the Birdwell's site. They have a few discontinued fabrics at that price. When that sale began, they were selling 3 pair for $45. I jumped on it. I've been a Birdwell's customer since 1966.

Nothing to laugh about. Chances are, you have the standard 301 style. That's exactly what I wear. You're just used to seeing those stupid, long, baggy, non-functional, cheaply-made, over-priced "pants" that pass for trunks, these days.
I wear Birdwell's, and nothing but. Besides, the shorter trunks fit better, under a wetsuit.

my last boardies finally cashed in after 5 years hard labor. how do they sell so many boardies when they last so long?
looking for replacements, i was disgusted by all the new shorts being so boldly splashed with brand advertisements and having lots of unnecessary seams that'll fall apart.

birdwells are solid trunks. i had a pair when i was younger (and smaller) and they worked as my 'everyday' trunks.
there is NO reason to wear trunks under your wetsuit.
