YOU MIGHT HAVE A PROBLEM IF..................
you show up to the local big lot spot exactly at 902A (meters get enforced beginning at 9) to hopefully avoid the busy DP friday crowd and find the lot is CLOSED! they do this all summer long from about 11A on once the lot gets crowded, but 902A didn't make any sense. rolled down the window and ask the guy what's up. he's a traffic enforcement guy who almost happily responded 'sewer spill'. hmmmmmm.... people are surfing, so what gives????
find a couple city employees and ask them if it was indeed a sewage spill. they confirm the metermaid's info. when asked if it was big and going into the ocean, they respond that it's contained and nothing got into the water. do i believe it? not really. so do i take marginal waves with virtually no one in the water (since there's no parking) or do i drive all the way back to avenue A for more people and worse waves....????
see that the drift is going south and decide as long as i'm north of the shit, i'm good. 1.5 hours of empty wave fun and not a turd in sight. now what BAC to i need to reach to kill dysentery?
