I don't think Wayne has made the DG stubby as a 2+1 setup yet, which would be incredibly fun. I think the 5 Future boxes offer much more versatility for a shorter board.
theROOSTER has the 8' DG, which is a 4+1 (the pickle got the color from the deck of his board). I have a 7'2" DG, which is also a 4+1. This is where the stubby originated from.
I ride my 7'2" as a single when the waves are semi-hollow and fast, the board flies in the pocket. As a DD, I like it as a quad.
