stupid question; what's the difference between the RFC "Speed Dialers" and the Futures Stretch Quads?(performance differences...of course) I finally got a Stretch "Fletcher" quad, and am curious about different fins for it. very nice "pickle" btw! co
The RFC Canards work on my quad fish when the waves are bigger; tons of drive! On regular days, they feel too stiff. Stretch Quads feel great in all conditions.
In the stubby, the Stretch quads were way too skatey since the board surfs like a board much shorter. The board needs to be finned a little bigger. The RFC Canards feel really good without being over skatey, probably because they stiffen the board up a little, which compensates for it being over skatey.
On a shortboard or fish, the Stretch quads are good for most people. I tend to like the VII Quads more on my boards to loosen it up a little. Stretch Quads are 439 fronts with 400 rears. The VII Quads are 438 fronts with 375 rears. I've tried the Stretch 439 fronts with 375 rears and it didn't feel right.
