I'm by no means an activist, a vegan, or even a vegetarian for that matter. In all actuality I am far from it-more of a carnivore than anything, but a bit of common sense does go along way...
We have destroyed enough already, don't ya think?
Species extinction is natural, there's been no less or more of it because of humans.
The people that are wantonly overfishing sea food are going to find themselves in the poor house when the price skyrockets and people quit buying fish and instead buy beef and chicken- raised on farms where the farmers own the land and have every incentive to not kill their land and every chicken or cow on it lest they go out of business.
Whales? WTF? If you dont want to eat 'em dont eat 'em but at least if you're a "save the whales" type just be fcking honest and admit that you dont want anyone eating them for the same reason you dont want anyone eating Ol Yeller or Lassie and not invent some bullshit "delicate balance of nature" or "humans BAD" (Re: Sea Sheperd/Green Peace loonies)crap......
Hey, for what it's worth I'd let Shamu loose...........and turn his tank into one of those old school bars where they had hot naked chicks swimming around and you'd get all wet from lap dances instead of whale flukes (no fatties allowed).....
