Yeah..for all you CI bashers out there..you can actually thank CI for upping the ante across the board for glassing quality. They have hands down the most stringent quality control for any surfboard company. If you are a glasser that recently got the opportunity to glass some of their boards..you most likely pulled your hair out when a half a truckload of boards were returned for various little things that were not up to their standards. Oversanded..visible weave..fin angles not exact. This has raised the bar for many glassers. It is not easy to glass a 5'8" little chip with paper thin nose and have no visible weave. But if you want to do CI's you better figure out how to pull it off..and if you spray it with krylon clear coat they will send it back..sorry no spray finishes. 
Like with anything custom made..they aren't perfect and I'm sure some little things can slip through the cracks here and there. Contact them and give them the opportunity to make it right...
