Funny, that was my first choice tonight. It's a very clean IPA, with a little hint of that pine/citrus flavor in the hops. Not heavy at all, very drinkable.
Do yourselves a favor and get your hands on anything you can find coming out of Ninkasi (named after the Sumerian goddess of fermentation). My favorites are the Tricerahops (Double IPA), Seligh'r (Dark Double Alt Ale - outstanding winter brew!), Oatis (Oatmeal Stout) and Maiden the Shade (Summer Ale) although they are ALL delicious top shelf beers. These guys are exploding, their brewing capacity is multiplying, so keep an eye out for it. You will not be disappointed.
this. ninkasi is brewing some of the best beer i've ever tasted. consider this - they are quickly DOMINATING the OREGON beer market - & i believe oregon is home to some of the best beers on the planet. plus the owners are cool.
personally dig their total domination ipa. get you some.
but in case you can't find ninkasi on your shelves, look for deschuttes inversion ipa.
Yeah, I agree. Right after I read about Ninkasi on here, my parents got back from a road trip around Oregon. One of their good friends up there is friends with one of the owners of Ninkasi.
They came back with 3 22oz of the Total Domination IPA, all for their beer loving son.
Excellent
