I wonder what would happen if you actually went for the slot effect on a rail fin? Thrailkill's application was 2 parallel fins offset from the stringer with a 1" slot, using single foiled fins with the flat sides facing out.
If memory serves, I think AFOAF might actually have built one of those. (the paired centerfin version, I mean).
If you ran the main fin in a Twinzer array at more cant (like 6* or 8*) and ran the leaderfin at the same cant with a 50% or 75% overlap and a smaller gap, like 3/4".
While we're playing around with that, I wonder if skipping the offset leader altogether and trying the 1" shark tooth mounted a couple inches directly in line with the main fin would create that multifin effect they were playing around with a while back?
I need to find a beater and some FCS plugs.
