a sh*tload of things, including surfing.
Apparently it doesn't keep you in shape for mailing an envelope! 
And while I agree being in ridiculous shape can enable you to do many other things, the amount of time and training invested into 'being in shape for the tri' removes the ability and time you have to do any of those other things for which your excellent phsyical condition would be suited.
