I have a question. I've never really liked spicey food as it doesn't sit that great with my stomach. But my allergies have been so @#)#@(#@ damn bad lately, I'm thinking about eating some hot peppers to try an open my sinuses. Does this work for you guys? Any suggestions? I don't want to kill myself or my stomach, just something to try to see if it works. Anything is better than the sinus headache I've been dealing with for 3 straight days that has been driving me insane.
Horseradish or Chinese hot mustard usually makes my nose run on a normal day. I had a cold with sinus pressure a few weeks ago and ate both hoping to clear my sinuses and nasal passages, but it did nothing. A small spoon full of horseradish just burned my tongue and throat.
I've had moderate success with a neti pot, but it's very temporary relief.
