I think this is all about preference. I got a board that is basically the same dimensions as the one you are looking at and I am 6'x175lb. I had all different size recommendations anything from 6' to 5'5" (5'10" from the man MB). I am really happy with the dimensions I'm riding. But I am using the board as an all-arounder. I have ridden the board in anything from waist high slop to 3ft overhead winter swell here in SD. Based on my experience, if I was your size and surfing similar waves I would recommend a 5'10" or 5'11" depending on the dimensions and version of the shape. Some of the older rocket tail versions are a little bulkier than the latest squash-tail versions of the board.
